So, due to a lot of drama, I had to shelved a few drawings I was working on, but on the other hand, that means I can focus once again on my main project. However, I have no idea who would be interested in seeing it considering that its all OC and whatnot, and the people of DA or Tumblr care not for original works, by what I see. Feel free to correct me on this.
I guess I am the kind of person that likes working on projects that I know people are looking forward to. I need to learn to appreciate my works for myself, but at the end of the day, there is something about hearing others excitement for my work that really empowers me. But, since loosing my friends a year ago, my interests in the arts have dwindled down into a trickle.
Perhaps I should look into going into collage and reworking my ideas of art, even if all I can afford is the local community collage.
Also, I've gotten pneumonia. This sickness sucks like hell, and isn't helping me get any work done. Just started on some anti-biotic meds to help cure it.
Anyway, after all that pessimistic news, time for the optimistic news!
I planted some strawberries a few weeks ago. The other day, a nice sprout came up! I went for a nap yesterday, and dreamed of having a bountiful harvest! All my plants were lush and full. I checked the strawberries again today, and five new sprouts emerged! Now to wait for the other plants to sprout. If they take as long as the strawberries did, i will give my other plants another two weeks. Once they sprout, i will spend the next week building the actual garden. It will be a raised garden to prevent moles and voles from burrowing under the plants. The creek, bushes, and fallen trees make for an excellent natural fence so deer cant get in. Now to think about the birds, mice, rabbits, and squirrels from getting to the plants...
In other news, I am just about to get all my stuff back that I had stored over the last what.. year and a half? 2012 is a year I would like to forget, except for the friendships that I made that year. Then again, maybe it would be best not to forget. Perhaps its true what i've heard others say. The hardships I delt with that year made me a stronger person. Well, back to derping around until dawn. Then i can actually work on something.
(UPDATE) Fell asleep again, woke up, and the other plants are starting to sprout, too!
(Also, I might not have much art to post for awhile. Lost my tablet pen.)
